MERCURETTO is a creative take on 70s glam. Riffing from classics and relatively unknown tracks of popular artists (e.g., Bowie, Alice Cooper), we aimed to perform them completely unlike the originals.
Artistically, we went for an imaginative soft touch with infusions of wit and musical inventiveness.

Success can be measured in many different ways. In my opinion, the success of this project lay in what we didn't necessarily mean to do, but what happened anyway.

Lush and beautiful, as well as (at times) deliberately over the top melodramatic, at other times, slightly abrasive and a little cheeky...

Created as a fictional story about the real band (Mercuretto), this is a proposed animated comedy series. It combines social satire with powerful classic music from iconic artists, covered by Mercuretto.
